What a great night at Dominion Raceway, who was celebrating Father’s Day!

It was a beautiful, but hot day, but once the sun went down it cooled off enough to truly enjoy the racing. I had a chance to talk to some great people in the pits, and see some great short track racing.

The night started off with the Southern Ground Pounders, with the Shayne Lockhart winning the overall race. This series is split into two categories as well, with Josh Roberts winning the Sportsman division. What a fantastic series, and I can’t wait to see them at Langley on July 11th!

Next up we had the Auto Glass Plus Inc. INEX Legends, and what a race it was! Brody Rhodes put on a show and crossed the finish line to pick up his first win at Dominion Raceway!

Then came the Carlisle III Bandolero race, and the race was a battle, especially for positions behind the lead. A late race caution brought out by some contact led to a green-white-checkered finish, and Tuggie Case made his way to Victory Lane.

After the Bandolero race was the Dominion Stocks, a local street stock division, and Mike Lowe came out on top, celebrating in victory lane with his family for Father’s Day.

Just a week after running the zMAX CARS Tour at Dominion, Brady Penny found his way to victory lane after a 75-lap race for the Truckin Thunder America Racer Late Models.

At that point, it was late for me and I was exhausted, so I decided to check out the facility. I will say this is an absolutely beautiful track and facility, and I’d happy come back! I am hoping to check out their food next time I find my way here.

Overall, it was a great night, full of great races and great people. I am extremely thankful to those who took the time to talk to me and allow me to interview them. Pits to Stands is going to have multiple upcoming Driver Spotlights, so be on the lookout!

Another special thank you to Stuart Walsh and Bobby Wallace for putting Pits to Stands on their race cars! It means so much. Also thank you to Dominion Raceway and their crew for welcoming me and helping me in my journey!
